Clearly Lies Are True is a powerful and compelling first-hand narrative account of Pamela Nickel Williams, the daughter of early cult followers of Scientology during the 1950's, 60's, and 70's. Written from her perspective as a young child and teenager, Pamela provides vivid, detailed memories and stories of her experiences, including her sexual abuse. Pamela calls out, and seeks to understand her parents' actions and decisions, which were strongly influenced by the Church of Scientology's beliefs and practices. Pamela courageously confronts her past by finally speaking her truth, including how she ultimately gained her freedom and became a cult survivor, as well as a survivor of sexual abuse.
